Returns the arcsine, or inverse sine, of a number

Syntax

ASIN(number)

Arguments

number The sine of the angle you want and must be from -1 to 1 Required

Arcsine of 0

=ASIN(0)

Result ⇒ 0

Arcsine of -1 (-90 degrees in radians)

=ASIN(-1)

Result ⇒ -1.5708

Arcsine of cell value

=ASIN(A1)

Result ⇒ -0.5236
