# COUNT

Returns the count of numeric values in a dataset.

## Syntax

```
COUNT(value1, [value_n])
```

## Arguments

| Argument | Description | Required |
| --- | --- | --- |
| `value1` | The first value or range in which to count numbers. | Required |
| `value_n` | Additional values or ranges in which to count numbers. | Optional |

## Examples

### Count numbers in a range with mixed types

=COUNT(A1:A4)

Result ⇒3

### Count all numbers in a range

=COUNT(A1:A5)

Result ⇒5

### Count numbers with additional arguments
