# MODE

Returns the most frequently occurring value in a data set

## Syntax

```
MODE(value1, [value2])
```

## Arguments

| Argument | Description | Required |
| --- | --- | --- |
| `value1` | The first number or array of numbers | Required |
| `value2` | Additional numbers or arrays | Optional |

## Examples

### Find mode of individual numbers

=MODE(1, 2, 2, 2, 1)

Result ⇒2

### Mode from range of values

=MODE(A1:A6)

Result ⇒5
