# PERCENTRANK

Returns the rank of a value in a dataset as a percentage (0 to 1) of the dataset

## Syntax

```
PERCENTRANK(data, value, [significance])
```

## Arguments

| Argument      | Description                                                  | Required |
|---------------|--------------------------------------------------------------|----------|
| `data`       | Array or range of numerical data                             | Required |
| `value`      | Value whose rank you want to find                           | Required |
| `significance` | Number of significant digits for the result (default 3)   | Optional |

## Examples

### Rank at 50th percentile

=PERCENTRANK(A1:A5, 3)

Result ⇒0.5

### Interpolated rank between values
