# SUM

Returns the sum of all numbers in the provided arguments

## Syntax

```
SUM(number1, [number_n])
```

## Arguments

| Argument   | Description                                      | Required |
|------------|--------------------------------------------------|----------|
| `number1` | The first number or range to calculate sum       | Required |
| `number_n`| Additional numbers or ranges to calculate sum    | Optional |

## Examples

### Sum individual numbers

=SUM(1, 2, 3)

Result ⇒ 6

### Sum values in a range

=SUM(A1:A3)

Result ⇒ 60
