# VARP

Calculates variance based on the entire population

## Syntax

```
VARP(value1, [value2])
```

## Arguments

| Argument | Description | Required |
| --- | --- | --- |
| `value1` | The first number or array of numbers in the population | Required |
| `value2` | Additional numbers or arrays | Optional |

## Examples

### Population variance of test scores

=VARP(A1:A5)

Result ⇒ 23.84

### Population variance of all values

=VARP(10, 20, 30, 40, 50)

Result ⇒ 200

### Entire population measurements

=VARP(A1:A5)
